Hello, Photography
March 20, 2009Wong Family Portraits
December 5, 2008Having a fancy camera often makes me the designated family-picture-taker. (Although my sister Meredith is the much better photographer… she knows a lot more than I do) So, with my eldest sister and her family, this was no exception. I’m thankful for any opportunity to shoot portraits, so I was more than happy to shoot their Christmas family portraits.
Although these pictures weren’t exactly my style (candids and more relaxed), I think these pictures came out very well. Aren’t my sister and her family super cute?!

Ellen & Andy
October 31, 2008The wedding in the forest….
September 6, 2008
Stern Grove, San Francisco
This was the very, very first wedding that I’ve ever shot, and nearly the first time I’ve ever used an SLR. I had the pleasure of working with Ming and Quincy from Ming Ho Photography. Ellen and Andy’s wedding was a really great learning experience. I’ve managed to master my point & shoot, but learning to use a DSLR has been quite an experience. I hope that as I do more weddings, I can improve my skills.
Ellen & Andy passed kazoos out to guests, and as Ellen walked down the aisle, the guests serenaded her with their kazoos with the “Wedding March”.

Ellen’s dress was handmade by one of her friends

The wedding was intimate with a backdrop of huge trees

Ellen and Andy were wonderful to work with.

They had such a great sense of humor

Congrats to them!
